What must I do to be saved?" This question was asked and answered more than one time in the book of Acts. The fact that you ask this question is a step in the right direction. It is the Holy Spirit that convicts us of our sins as individuals. The Word of God teaches us that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23) and that "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom 6:23).
The good news is, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom 5:8). We look in Romans 10:9-10 and it says, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
So it is just as simple as confessing to God that you are a sinner and that you need a savior, and that you believe that Jesus is that savior, and that He gave His life for ransom for our sins. It is just that simple. One prayer, and you are saved. "If any man be in Christ Jesus, he is a new creature; behold old things have passed away, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
After you've prayed that prayer, we'd like you to call someone you know that's a Christian and tell them you've just asked Jesus into your heart. Or you can tell us here at FWC, as well. Send us an email and share a testimony of what God's done in your life - we'd love to know about it!
God bless you, and we look forward to hearing from you!
